Courtney C. R. Lambert is a writer, artist, wife, and eclectic hobbyist. She spent her formative years in California, moving from Pasadena, a suburb of Los Angeles near the coast, to Selma, a small suburb in the agriculturally rich Central Valley. In addition to California, she lived in Colorado (for a summer) and West Virginia for a while. In 2021, she got married to the love of her life and moved to Montana where a new chapter started in her life.
Courtney became a writer due to her early love of classical authors like Louisa M. Alcott, J.R.R. Tolkien, Jack London, and many more. Her parents read many of L. M. Montgomery's, Tolkien's, and C. S. Lewis's works to her growing up which also assisted her desire to enjoy literature.
Growing up, she had a vivid imagination and started writing when she was around nine years old, continuing into adulthood.
Courtney likes to write poetry, short stories, and longer stories based on her fantasy world called Feyndome which she created around 2013.
Many of her stories are based on personal experiences, moral lessons, imaginary scenarios she uses to process, or ideas she wishes to explore.
Please note that I do NOT use A.I. to generate or create content for this website. This including my artwork, photography, poems, stories, and blog posts. I do run some of my content through programs like Grammerly and ProWriting Aid to catch grammar and other errors, but I do not use these programs to generate content.
I also do NOT encourage my work to be used to train A.I. and expressly wish that it NOT be used so. Knowing that this is likely a losing battle, given that A.I. bots scrape the Internet for content, I still would like my wishes to be expressed here for all to see (and hopefully respect).
While A.I. is a developing technology that can have many uses in society and, as a tool, gives many people the opportunity to express themselves in ways they might not have skills or ability to, I feel that for me to use it would be undermining the skills and interests that God gave me by not allowing them to develop naturally and by neglecting to stretch and challenge the wonderful brain God made.
It is known that what you do not use, you lose: thus I wish to keep my brain healthy and active by stretching its abilities and not handing its work over to something else. I might use A.I. to calculate the macros for a meal, but I do not want to give it the reigns on the creative process.
The creative process is a lovely thing! I'd rather sit to write something, mull over it for three or ten years, and return to rewrite it into something richer and more beautiful, infusing it with all the lessons and experiences I've learned in life. For me, I find great joy and fulfillment in that. I'd love to see more people enjoy the creative writing process like that.
These are just my thoughts on why I personally do not use A.I. in my creative process. This is my personal conviction and stance for my writing and creativity. If you use A.I. for it, that is yours, and I respect that and hold no ill will.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Sincerely,
Courtney C. R. Lambert on the evening of Tuesday, September 22, 2026 Anno Domini (in the year of our Lord).
